2017 Conference

The Colorado Group Psychotherapy Society is excited to announce the dates of our Annual Conference. It will be held November 11th and 12th at UCHealth – CeDAR – Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation in Denver, Colorado. Our topic is Desire: Wishes, Fears, and Impulses in Group Psychotherapy and we will be featuring Dr. Lucy Holmes PhD, LMSW, CGP, Licensed Psychoanalyst as our keynote speaker.

Dr. Lucy Holmes is a licensed psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. She is a member of the faculties of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, The New York Graduate School of Psychoanalysis, the Boston School of Psychoanalysis and the Center for Group Studies. A former President of the Society for Modern Psychoanalysis, she lectures widely on female development and the technique of Modern Group analysis. She is the author of numerous journal articles on women and groups, and a winner of the 2002 National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis’ Gradiva Award. She is the author of two books on psychoanalysis, The Internal Triangle: New Theories of Female Development and Wrestling with Destiny: The Promise of Psychoanalysis and is currently working on a novel.
